About the Role
Clutch is expanding its design team! We're looking for a Product Designer to help us create intuitive, seamless, and human-centered experiences that power our loan application and lending workflows.
This designer will focus primarily on improving how borrowers and credit union employees interact with Clutch’s lending platform — simplifying complex workflows, clarifying financial information, and ensuring every step of the process feels effortless and trustworthy.
We’re seeking someone who’s passionate about understanding users’ goals, translating insights into clear, beautiful, and functional interfaces, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ship impactful solutions that drive measurable results.
About the Team
At Clutch, design isn't just a department—it's the driving force behind our mission. We believe a seamless user experience can empower credit unions to compete and offer superior banking to everyday people. By crafting intuitive experiences, we help credit unions guide their members toward financial freedom.
Our growing design team is fully remote in the U.S. and Brazil. It is diverse, collaborative, ambitious, and empowered to take on our company’s biggest challenges.

Contribute Early: Take ownership of small-to-medium design projects, from early discovery through detailed design and delivery.
Within 6 months, you will:
Design & Ship End-to-End Flows: Lead design for specific areas of the loan application experience — improving clarity, reducing friction, and creating intuitive interactions for both borrowers and operators.
Drive Clarity Through Research & Testing: Conduct user interviews, concept tests, and usability sessions to inform design decisions and validate ideas.
Collaborate Deeply with Product & Engineering: Partner closely with PMs and engineers to translate user and business needs into polished, production-ready designs.
Contribute to Team Growth: Share feedback and help improve design critique, documentation, and design processes across the team.

Champion User-Centered Design: Advocate for users’ needs in roadmap discussions and help the broader team prioritize experience quality.
Influence Product Direction: Contribute insights from research and data to help shape the future vision for Clutch’s lending platform.

Craft: Strong visual and interaction design skills; able to create clear, elegant, and effective solutions for multi-step or data-heavy experiences.
User Empathy: Skilled at uncovering user needs through research and using those insights to inform design decisions.
Collaboration: Experience working closely with product and engineering partners to define problems, explore solutions, and ship high-quality products.
Communication: Excellent storytelling, documentation, and presentation skills; able to clearly explain both design outcomes and reasoning.
Ownership: Comfortable driving medium-scope projects independently, managing feedback, and iterating quickly in a fast-paced environment.
