We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Platform Engineering Manager to lead our Core Platform Services team. What You'll Do
Lead and manage a team of 8+ senior and mid-level engineers working on core platform services, providing mentorship, career development, and conducting regular 1-on-1 meetings to ensure team success and growth.
Partner with Platform Architect and technical leads to guide the strategic direction of platform solutions, ensuring team alignment and resource allocation for successful delivery.
Oversee security initiatives and access management strategies across teams, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain organizational security standards.
Manage tools inventory and platform services budget allocation, making strategic decisions on technology investments and resource optimization.
Foster collaboration with other infrastructure teams including Blockchain Service Development/Deployment and Internal DevOps Support teams, ensuring alignment on delivery timelines and organizational goals.
Establish and maintain engineering best practices, team processes, and operational excellence across the core platform services organization.
Day-to-Day Activities
Leading team meetings and facilitating technical discussions
Conducting 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports and career development planning
Collaborating with other engineering managers on organizational strategy
Managing vendor relationships and budget allocation
Working with cross-functional teams on project coordination and delivery
Ensuring team processes and operational standards are maintained
Supporting team members with escalations and organizational needs
What We're Looking For
Must Have
5+ years of experience in engineering roles with 3+ years in engineering management or team leadership
Strong track record of managing and developing engineering teams, including performance management, career development, and technical mentorship
Experience working in technical environments with understanding of infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps concepts
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to work across multiple teams and departments
Experience with budget management, resource planning, and vendor/tools evaluation
Strong organizational and process management capabilities
Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
Nice to have:
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platform engineering, container orchestration, and cloud-native architectures
Experience with security frameworks, access management systems, and implementing security best practices
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and DevOps practices
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability platforms
Blockchain or cryptocurrency industry experience
Experience with on-premises infrastructure management
Previous experience managing DevOps Principal Architects or senior technical leads
