About this role:
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable software. You will be responsible for testing and validating device intelligence and security mechanisms across our mobile and web applications. You will apply your experience and knowledge to transform requirements into actionable test plans and detailed test cases. This work will also result in reports and metrics, allowing us to improve continuously. In addition, you will have ownership over the quality of significant deliverables and will collaborate with multiple engineers and teams to drive success.
What you'll be doing:
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and reports on device trust, fraud detection, and secure user behavior
Perform manual testing across a variety of real devices, simulators/emulators, including rooted/jailbroken environments, VPN/proxy simulations, and mobile SDK integrations
Validate security and device intelligence features by working closely with multiple engineers and teams
Implement and maintain test cases inside Testmo or similar test management tools
Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs
Use tools like Charles Proxy, ADB, Xcode, and Crashlytics to support exploratory testing, debugging, and log analysis
Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization as a quality champion
Track quality assurance metrics and continuously seek improvements
While the primary focus will be on manual testing, you will be expected to contribute to Mobile Automated testing over time using tools like Appium (WebdriverIO, NodeJS)
What you'll bring:
4+ years of experience in manual testing, with a strong focus on mobile and web applications
Strong ability to review product requirements and design, and translate them into effective test plans and cases
Solid understanding of device intelligence, security testing, and threat vectors like jailbreak, VPN, emulator detection, and location spoofing
Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Charles Proxy, ADB, and Xcode Instruments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a security-first mindset
Experience with CI/CD processes and agile environments
Exposure to mobile automation frameworks such as Appium (WebdriverIO, Node.js), or XCUITest - or a strong interest in learning them
Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus
Experience testing pure API products (headless) is a plus
Software development experience is a plus
Compensation: Base pay range of 265,000 - 345,000 BRL + Series C Equity with tremendous upside potential + Attractive benefits
