We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting manual testing of both backend systems and mobile applications. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, possess excellent analytical skills, and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of backend systems, mobile and web applications to identify bugs, defects, and usability issues.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand software requirements and contribute to the improvement of software quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Analyze test results, provide detailed reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a focus on manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in backend testing, including API testing, database testing, and server-side validation.
- Experience in testing mobile applications (Android and/or iOS) across multiple devices and platforms.
- Experience in cross-platform and cross-browser testing of web applications and utilizing testing tools.
- Proficient in conducting thorough analyses of functionality and adept at precisely identifying and resolving issues.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
- Ability to understand software requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
- Will be an advantage: Knowledge and experience in testing gRPC.
