About Atticus
At any given time, 16 million Americans are experiencing a crisis that requires urgent help from our legal system or government. The right assistance could transform their lives — but most never get it.
Atticus makes it easy for any sick or injured person in crisis to get the life-changing aid they deserve. In six years, we've become the leading platform connecting people with disabilities to government benefits, helping hundreds of thousands of people access over $10B in aid and earning 17,000+ five-star reviews.
We've raised over $100 million from Fika, Forerunner, GV, and True Ventures, closed our Series C in April 2025, and are well-funded for the foreseeable future. Our team grew from 151 to 210 in 2025 — and we're growing again in 2026.
The Job
The Growth Pod at Atticus is the connective tissue between our marketing, product, and data layers. We run fast, experiment constantly, and take our results seriously. We're looking for a backend or backend-leaning product engineer who thrives in that environment — someone who can move with urgency during experimentation without leaving a mess behind.
This role is less about building polished product surfaces and more about owning the systems that makes Growth function: getting the right data between the right systems at the right time. Think experimentation infrastructure, marketing data pipelines, automated comms, and user identity. If you've done this kind of work and want to go deeper on it, this is the right place.
You'll also be a core thought partner to product & design — helping turn ambiguous Growth hypotheses into clear, scoped work that we can ship quickly and test rigorously.
What You'll Do
Own and evolve our data integration infrastructure — data infrastructure, marketing enablement, customer communication tools, and experimentation data flows
Build the connective tissue between Growth's external tools and internal systems
Partner closely with the broader Growth team to translate fast-moving priorities into well-scoped, executable engineering work
Balance velocity with system health — make deliberate tradeoffs and document your reasoning
Work across our full product stack as needed; this is a backend-focused role but we deeply value a generalist product engineering mindset
What We're Looking For
Required:
5+ years of production software experience, with meaningful time in a startup or high-ownership environment
Data & experimentation infrastructure experience — and a genuine interest in going deeper on this skillset
Demonstrated ability to weigh technical tradeoffs between velocity and system health and make a defensible call
Experience translating ambiguous product requirements into scoped, well-defined work units — you're allergic to silos and knowledge hoarding
History of working closely with a strong PM on a user-facing team; you think about the end user, not just the implementation
An understanding of the highly iterative nature of Growth/top-of-funnel work — willingness to abandon unsuccessful experiments
Bonus:
Previous experience on a Growth or marketing-adjacent engineering team
Familiarity with Go, GCP, Kubernetes, or Terraform
Experience with Salesforce data pipelines or CRM integrations
Background in legal, healthcare, or financial services

This job is fully remote and we’re committed to empowering everyone with flexibility. Work remotely, and travel to LA (on the company dime) as needed to be with your colleagues —somewhere between quarterly and yearly.
