Overview: GotSoccer, a leading platform supporting youth and professional soccer leagues worldwide, is seeking a skilled part-time SysOps contractor. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless performance and uptime of our web and database servers, which are critical to our global user base.

Responsibilities:

Actively monitor, maintain, and configure web and database servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
Proactively identify potential issues, implementing solutions to avoid disruptions.
Respond swiftly to emergencies, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and management, to enhance server infrastructure and application performance.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate is well-versed in managing production applications and possesses expertise in:

Linux: Proficiency in system administration and shell scripting.
Ansible: Automating server provisioning and application deployment.
Nginx: Configuring and optimizing for serving web applications.
Postgres: Database setup, optimization, and maintenance.
Ruby on Rails: Familiarity with deployment and configuration.

Desirable Skills:

Docker: Experience in containerization of applications.
Kubernetes: Familiarity with orchestration and scaling of containerized applications.

Location: While GotSoccer has a global footprint, we prefer candidates based on the US west coast for optimal coverage and collaboration.
