About Winona:
Winona is one of the leading telemedicine companies providing HRT for women in menopause. We’ve built all of our technology in house including an EHR, patient care admin system, patient portal, website, marketing technology etc. Winona has two compounding pharmacies and a team of in house physicians providing world-class care via a fully vertically integrated business model.
About the role:
We’re looking for a Lead QA Engineer to help create and build out our web testing automations and lead the evolution of our quality assurance strategy across web and mobile platforms. You’ll define testing standards, introduce scalable QA processes, and ensure every release meets our high bar for performance, usability, and data accuracy. This is a hands-on leadership role — part strategist, part builder — where you’ll guide the QA team while contributing directly to automation, analytics validation, and release quality.
Responsibilities
Build & Scale Automation: Help create and build out our web testing automations, ensuring strong coverage across UI, regression, and integration layers.
Own QA Strategy: Define and implement a comprehensive quality framework supporting manual and automated testing across multiple environments.
Lead & Mentor: Build, coach, and develop a high-performing QA team, establishing clear roles, processes, and growth paths.
Cross-Browser & Device Testing: Use BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar tools to ensure consistent performance and design fidelity across browsers, operating systems, and devices.
Analytics & Tracking Validation: Partner with Data and Engineering to validate Segment events, analytics tagging, and experiment tracking to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
Experimentation QA: Collaborate with CRO and product teams to validate A/B test setups and variations in Optimizely (or similar platforms).
Process & Tooling: Integrate QA early into development workflows, champion CI/CD testing practices, and continually optimize testing efficiency.
Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scripts for new features and regression cycles.
Data & Reporting: Track and communicate quality metrics, release readiness, and risk assessments.
Requirements
5+ years in software QA, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role.
Strong experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Postman).
Hands-on experience with cross-browser/device testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
Deep understanding of QA best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development.
Familiarity with analytics and event validation, especially Segment, Google Analytics, or similar.
Proven ability to set up QA processes and infrastructure from scratch or scale existing systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across teams.
