We’re seeking a Head of Growth —a rare hybrid of a technologist and storyteller—who can architect growth strategies, articulate LiveKit’s technical value to the world, and build a function that sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and marketing. You should be as comfortable building out a growth roadmap or mentoring a team of technical marketers.

This is a high-impact role. You’ll be responsible for setting the vision, leading execution, and scaling a technical growth function that deeply understands developers and how to reach them. Your success will directly influence adoption, engagement, and the future of the LiveKit platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute and scale LiveKit’s go-to-market strategy from a technical lens, ensuring we are building awareness and adoption among our most important users: developers. In addition, you will own mid and top of funnel conversions.

  • Define the growth function, including hiring, mentoring, and setting goals for a team of technical marketers and advocates.

  • Develop compelling, technically accurate narratives that resonate with developers, product teams, and technical buyers across industries.

  • Oversee strategic product launches, ensuring messaging, positioning, and content are aligned and impactful across all touchpoints.

  • Create and review high-quality technical content, including architecture diagrams, tutorials, blog posts, SDK examples, and sample apps.

  • Act as the voice of the developer, bringing user feedback and market trends to influence product strategy and roadmap prioritization.

  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, sales, and developer success to align on positioning, outreach strategies, and enablement materials.

  • Establish metrics and feedback loops to measure the effectiveness of growth efforts and continuously improve technical marketing outcomes.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has deep experience marketing to developers and knows how to earn their trust

  • Has led or built technical product marketing or growth teams in a startup or fast-paced tech environment

  • Has an instinct for honest, accurate communication—and avoids fluff at all costs

  • Thrives at the intersection of storytelling and technology, and can simplify complexity without dumbing it down

  • Is a doer and builder by nature, with a bias for action and experimentation

Bonus Points:

  • Direct experience working with WebRTC or real-time communication infrastructure

  • Past roles in developer relations, developer experience, or open source advocacy

  • A portfolio of technical content (blog posts, talks, demos, etc.) that showcases your communication style

  • Experience with API-first or infrastructure platforms
