Supabase is an Open Source and fully remote company building developer tools for databases.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to oversee AP and AR transactions, assist with month-end closings, and contribute to our rapid growth. This role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
You will work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations while supporting ongoing projects as they arise.
What You Will Do:
Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including high-volume invoice processing and weekly payments.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve outstanding issues.
Process and reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements.
Record cash receipts, analyze AR to maintain accurate customer accounts, and handle daily billing.
Monitor collections, maintain invoice status, and generate weekly aging reports.
Assist with the preparation and filing of annual 1099 forms.
Support month-end close processes and maintain AP files.
Liaise with departments to ensure accurate receipt processing.
Perform data entry, filing, and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3-6 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with QuickBooks (QBO or similar), Google Workspace, and strong computer skills.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
You manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and excel at multitasking.
Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and integrity.
Clear communicator, comfortable discussing AR/AP with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Adaptable and able to perform repetitive tasks while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Based in ANZ or APAC time zone

Process
The entire process is fully remote and all communication will happen over email or via video chat.
Once you've submitted your application, the team will review your submission and may reach out for a short screening interview over a video call.
If you pass the screen you will be invited to up to four follow-up interviews.
The calls:

will be with the founders, a member of either the growth or engineering team (depending on the role) and usually one other person from your immediate team or function.
Once the interviews are over, the team will meet to discuss several roles and candidates and may:
